In a word-processing document, you can use bookmarks to link from body text in one part of your document to text in other parts of your document. You can't bookmark text in text boxes and shapes.
In a page layout document, you can link from text in your document to other pages of your document.
Link to another part of your word-processing document
If you don’t see Bookmark when trying to add one, your document might be a page layout document. Apple app store imac.
- Select the text that you want to link to.
- Tap Bookmark in the pop-up menu. You might need to tap the right arrow to see Bookmark.
- Select the text that you want to turn into a link.
- Tap Link. You might need to tap the right arrow to see Link.
- Tap 'Link To' and choose Bookmark.

- To close the settings, tap the document.
If you want to give your bookmark a nickname or remove it entirely, tap the More button , tap Bookmarks, then tap Edit. Tap a bookmark to rename it, or tap the Delete button to remove the bookmark. To save your changes, tap Done.

Link to another part of your word-processing document
- Click in your document where you want to add a bookmark. Or select the text that you want to bookmark.
- Click the Document button , then click the Bookmarks tab. If you don’t see the Bookmark option, your document might be a page layout document.
- Click Add Bookmark. The bookmark appears in the Bookmarks list.
- Select the text that you want to turn into a link.
- Control-click the selected text. Choose Add Link > Bookmark.
- Click the Bookmark pop-up menu, then choose the bookmark you want to link to. Pages also suggests bookmarks based on the paragraph styles used in your document. You can change the paragraph styles Pages suggests.
- Click Go to Bookmark. The document jumps to the linked bookmark's location.
You can track the link to each bookmark in the Bookmarks list. Control-click the bookmark name, then choose Go to Link.
If you want to remove a link, Control-click the link, choose Edit Link, then click Remove.
